Poly-Fastener is a two part flexible plastic extrusion, consisting of a channel and insert strip, with which flexible materials can be joined together or attached directly to framing. Lagoon Liners and Evaporation Control
Water reservoir lining is made simpler and more effective with Poly-Fastener . Evaporation contributes up to 90% of water loss in open resevoirs. Leak proof liners prevent water seepage and water loss through evaporation can be minimized through the use of plastic resevoir coverings that should be perforated to allow the passage of rainwater. Precious water supplies can also be protected from the ravages of wind and sum through this system. Poly-Fastener is so easy to install; organizations can utilize local manpower, saving the expense of higher skilled labor.
Irrigation Tubes
Low-pressure irrigation tubes are used to control the flow of water throughout the irrigation project more efficiently as well as to minimize the loss of water that occurs through seepage and evaporation. They also help to prevent erosion. To fabricate a Poly-Fastener irrigation tube, fold a flat sheet of plastic film in half to form a tube to the required size. The open edge is then seamed together with Poly-Fastener to form a watertight irrigation tube. If necessary, the Poly-Fastener can be easily removed and adjusted to decrease or increase the water flow. The tubes can be perforated to allow the right amount of water to flow into the field at the right location to be irrigated. This type of irrigation system is the most versatile and cost effective in the industry today.
