Silage BagPoly-Fastener is the complete solution for any problems encountered when closing grain, silage or compost bags. The patented plastic insert and channel are locked together over the open end of a bag creating a watertight seal. The plastic we use to manufacture Poly-Fastener is made from partially recycled materials, even grinded down construction hard-hats. The channel and insert is perfectly reusable season to season and will stand up to the same conditions the bag material withstands.

Poly-Fastener has been manufactured in Winnipeg, Manitoba for over thirty years. The original design is not too dissimilar from what we produce today, although a few changes have been made over the years. Our PR 950 “Heavy Duty” has been custom extruded and tested for thicker grain and silage bags. The channel and insert are thicker and can withstand more pressure than ever. The new design does not slow down the application process at all, and the system will snap together over a bag in seconds. We are so confident in our product that we guarantee your first year using it.

Sealed Silage BagThe new Bag Zipper Tool has been developed recently to aid in the application of Poly-Fastener onto grain, silage and compost bags. Along with this new tool Poly-Fastener stands alone as the premier way to close off any agriculture bag. We are able to guarantee that you will be not only be pleased, but also amazed at how easy it works. Applying the channel and insert strip to the end of a bag takes mere seconds, after the set-up. Prepping the Bag Zipper and Poly-Fastener will take only a few minutes, always taking into account weather conditions.

Despite any delays due to wet or windy conditions, Poly-Fastener and the Bag Zipper Tool are weather and temperature tried and tested. It does not need any power source to operate and will work twenty-four hours a day. The high density plastics that we use are the same kinds that make up agriculture bags. If you are satisfied with storing your crop in bags then you will be more than satisfied using Poly-Fastener to close your bags.

Astro Shelters

In 1971 Curry Industries Ltd. designed a highly portable, lightweight panel system that proved to be the most advanced system in the world. Its sturdy, easy to assemble, aluminum design has been successfully used by winter works projects, trade show display booths, equipment enclosures and a bridge works project enclosure. By 1991, the Astro Shelter had evolved into a version that is easier than ever to use for many applications: disaster areas, field hospitals, command centres, emergency shelters, food storage depots and military quarters.

A complete portable panel system building would be packaged into a two-wheel trailer ready to be transported to the location. The wheels and the hitch would be retractable for shipping by aircraft. A 24-ft x 50-ft panel building would weigh approximately 900-lbs depending upon the material used as covering.
